    Continue to review your sight words......  Practice writing the ones you do not know.

    See how many words you can make with  "Making Words Magic Squares".  (cvc words ending in et, eg, en) attached by email

    Read the poem (A Little Bug) attached by email.  Circle the rhyming words.  Write 3 more words that rhyme with bug.

    Tell me what is your favorite bug?  Why is it your favorite?  Write two sentences to let me know.  Remember (cups) capital, understanding,

    punctuation, and spacing.

    Remember your digraphs - th, ch, sh, wh, ck  (two letters one sound)

    Read words with digraphs - mark them up (underline)

    Read sentences with digraphs - mark them up

    Read the passage - "Shoes in Different Seasons" - 

    What are your favorite shoes?  Can you write a sentence to let me know?  attachments via email

    Read "Caring for the Earth"  attachment via email 

    Read it more then once.  Everytime you read it, it will be easier.

    Write a sentence to tell me what you do to care for the earth......

     

    Grade 2 - Lesson 4 - Week of 4/13 - 4/17

    Review sight words.......Any words that you do not know write them down.  You can make cards out of them.  You can write them in shaving cream, chalk, sky writing, rainbow writing etc.......

    Read the passage The Bronz Zoo Cares.  Question:  Do you think that the animals that live at the Bronz Zoo are happy?  Why?  Answer in a complete sentences.....  Remember QPA (question part of the answer).

    Grade 2 - Lesson 5 - Week of 4/13 - 4/17

    Review sight words..........

    Read the passage Frog Facts.  Underline all the blends.  Can you find more than 15?  Read the table/chart comparing Frogs/Toads.  Answer the questions in complete sentences. (Remember QPA)

    Grade 2 - Lesson 6 - Week of 4/13 - 4/17

    Review sight words..........

    Read the book the Gorillas.  If you do not know what a word means, look it up in the glossary.  I bet the more you read the book the easier it will become.  In a complete sentence write 2 facts that you learned about gorillas.  Can you draw a picture to go with the sentence.  If you have time, I would love to see your picture.
