2nd Grade 

Hello, friends! Week 11 is a short week. I hope you enjoyed the three day weekend with your families! 

This week, we are going to play a game that helps us keep our b's and d's straight and read one new story.

Since we had so much fun performing the play "The Lion and the Mouse" during our call last this week, I have assigned another story with a play.  We will perform our play during our Zoom call on Wednesday. See you there!

1) Click here to play a game called "B is bad". It's a fun card game where the letter "b" is the "bad" letter and the letter "d" is a delight! :)

2) Click here for the login screen for our class. Then you can bookmark the page so you can easily get to the login screen each week.   

You may be brought to a page asking for my teacher login. If so, please enter kwright35nicholas.

Find your name and click on it. Enter your password. I have emailed your parents your password and it will be the same each week. You should now see your personal screen. I made this one for my daughter, Caroline.

Look carefully - how can you tell that it is her own screen? 

Now click on the purple planet called "Reading". 

You will see this screen 

Click on the little space ship called "My Assignments"

You will now see your reading page. The assigments I have given you are at the bottom of the page. 

You can see that Caroline has read Click, Cluck and Quack because the little book emoji is green and has a check next to it. The other books have black and white emojis. Caroline needs to read them! 

This week, please read Introducing Planet Earth.  Don't forget to click on the ? icon and to take the quiz afterwards!

Here is the script for the play for Introducing Planet Earth. It might be easier if you can print it out before our Zoom call. If not, make sure you can see it online during our Zoom call so you can read your part!

 Hello, friends! Can you believe this is week 11 of our remote learning? I hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day. It feels like summer now, doesn't it?

This week, we will be reading one story from Learning A-Z and reading a play that we will perform during our zoom call.

Click here for the script for the play, "Arthur's Bad Day"! Try to read it a few times before our call so you can read your part fluently!

The story we will be reading is called The Other Book of World Records. It's a funny story and I think you will enjoy it!
