2nd and 3rd Graders
Hello, friends!
This is our last week of school! I will not be assigning readings to you this week. However, I would like for you to click here to email me one thing you have learned with me this school year. You have learned many new reading skills, and we have read and discussed lots of different topics. What is one thing or topic that you remember?
We won't have our Zoom call, but I will be at the parade and hope to see you there, too. :)
I would like you to know that I am extremely proud of each of you. This has been an unusual time and you have done a wonderful job adapting to online learning and all of the changes you have experienced. I have missed spending time with you in person, but have loved seeing your faces during our Zoom calls. You are each special and unique in your own ways. I am lucky to have gotten to know you!
This summer, I ask you to read, read, read! This is the best way to keep your fluency and comprehension skills sharp and continue growing as a reader! Remember, this doesn't just include reading books. Words are everywhere - signs, menus, street names, t shirts, etc. You can even turn on your closed caption feature on your television and "read" your favorite tv show!
I would also love to receive a letter from you in the mail or on email! You can write about anything you want to share with me and I will write back to you!
If you choose to mail the letter, here is my address:
Mrs. Wright
35 Nicholas Drive
Attleboro, MA 02703
Have a wonderful summer! Be safe and enjoy your time with your families!
Love,
Mrs. Wright
